Flintshire, the remarkably talented six-year-old that finished second in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. I), will attempt to go one better when he starts as one of the favorites in the $4,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Turf on November 5th at Santa Anita.
Joining Flintshire in the Turf is the Aidan O’Brien-trained filly Found, winner of the prestigious Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I) on October 2nd. The four-year-old daughter of Galileo also won the Breeders’ Cup Turf last year and most recently finished second in the QIPCO Champion Stakes (Eng-I) on October 15th. Her stablemate Highland Reel, runner-up in the Arc de Triomphe, will also run in the Breeders’ Cup Turf.
Ectot, who upset Flintshire in the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (gr. I) on October 1st, and Da Big Hoss, who has won four graded stakes races this year, are among the other major names entered in the Turf.
