Two days after a slight temperature threatened her participation in the October 31st Breeders’ Cup Classic (gr. I), two-time Eclipse champion Beholder was out on the main track at Keeneland, galloping a mile on the morning of October 22nd.

Richard Mandella, who trains the five-year-old mare, was happy with Beholder’s exercise. “Things are a lot better today than they were two days ago,” Mandella was quoted as saying in the Keeneland Barn Notes for October 22nd. “It was just a simple gallop this morning. We’re back in the game.”

Now that Beholder is back in regular training, she is scheduled to have one timed workout before the Classic, although the date of that workout has not yet been determined.

“I am not sure when she will have a little breeze,” Mandella said. “We will let her tell us. We came here ready to run.”
