Bradester, who posted impressive victories in the Salvator Mile (gr. III) and Monmouth Cup (gr. II) earlier this summer, turned in a bullet five-furlong workout on October 10th at Keeneland as he prepares for a start in the $1,000,000 Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile (gr. I) on October 30th at Keeneland.

Coming off of a runner-up effort in the Philip H. Iselin Stakes (gr. III) on August 30th, Bradester worked in company and started off with fractions of :12.40, :23.40, and :35.40 before completing the breeze in :59 flat and galloping out six furlongs in 1:12.40.

According to the Keeneland Barn Notes for October 10th, trainer Eddie Kenneally was pleased with Bradester’s exercise: “He worked really, really well, took to the track just fine,” Kenneally said. “He’s on track; he’s freshened. He had some tough races this summer, and he put up some big performances. He runs well fresh, so we’re excited about the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile.”

“He’ll probably work again the next two Saturdays provided the weather is good,” Kenneally said. “We’ll alter the schedule if the track happens to get muddy or wet; we’ll do it a day beforehand or a day later.”

Bradester is expected to face a deep field in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile that could include Woodward Stakes (Gr. I) winner Liam’s Map, Kelso Handicap (gr. II) 1-2 finishers Appealing Tale and Red Vine, and Philip H. Iselin (gr. III) winner Valid.
