Some follow up
ANNUAL REPORT is 2 of 2 with a Gr.II win on two different race tracks should run 11/28 in the Kentucky Jockey Club Gr. II
CONQUEST BIG E has won at 1 1/16 and a second at Churchill Downs
GIFT BOX has won at 1 1/16 should run in the Remsen Gr. II on 11/28
GUN RUNNER also has won at 1 1/16 has won an allowance at Churchill Downs should run 11/28 in the Kentucky Jockey Club Gr. II
SWIPE has three Gr. I starts running second in all of them has run at keeneland, Santa Anita, del mar, belmont park and Los alamitos so loves to travel and can handle any track surface seven overall starts with a record of 1/5/1 not to shabby four times second to NYQUIST the future pool one favorite

Great thoughts, Race Day Marc! We have very similar lists of horses that we like! Gun Runner is the colt that interests me most in the future wager pool, and I’ve also got my eye on Annual Report and Gift Box. And speaking of Conquest Big E, he’s been entered in an allowance race on Saturday at Churchill, so we’ll get another chance to see how he looks before the pool closes, which will be helpful.

Although early GUN RUNNER has won at CD as well as at 1 1/16 I do like to see a derby horse with a race under his belt at CD.
SWIPE also has my attention three Gr. I starts second in all those races has shipped everywhere. Already has seven races under his belt so he will be a seasoned runner for the Calvary charge. Although NYQUIST seems to have his number it is still a long way to the first Saturday in May.
Just nice to see we are talking about the derby as the cold winter is upon us :).

I see we have a new type future wager the “sire”
I believe in hunches when it comes to this game. Last year we had a triple crown winner in AP due to the RACING GODS intervening and causing a late scratch of EL KABEIR. For had they not AP would have been second in the derby and Preakness but he would have won the Belmont.
That said I will take a flyer with a $50 wager on SCAT DADDY 30-1
This MONSTER sire seems to have at least six derby contenders although none have made the pool 1 futures
ARABIAN LEOPARD – has had one start at del mar running out at 5 1/2f in a MSW but is entered 11/29 in the 7th race at del mar going 6 1/2 see what happens.
J B’S BIG RED – a gelding with three starts at Monmouth park running out in all his races but is entered 11/29 at gulfstream park in the 3rd race going 5f (t) in a MSW.
AZAR – five starts with a 1/2/0 record has a Gr. II win at a 1 1/16 at Saratoga. A second place finish in a Gr. III 1 1/16 at Belmont then put on the turf at keeneland for the BC AND WAS CRUSHED.
CONQUEST DADDYO – four races with a 2/1/0 record won a Gr. II turf race going a mile at woodbine and was 4th in the Gr. I BC turf mile. Has 222k in earnings things to like
TRISTAN’S TRILOGY – one start finished 6th. Entered 11/28 at Del mar 3rd race in a MSW
mile turf.STEVIE O – unraced is entered 11/28 at aqueduct park 4th race MSW going a mile on the turf.
AZAR & CONQUEST DADDYO seem to be the best at the present time but it’s a long way to May and as I stated above hunches sometime come true and if not for the racing gods EL KABEIR would have been the past derby winner and AP just a footnote in racing history.
The common denominator EL KABEIR and the above listed are the offspring of SCAT DADDY!
