Trainer Keith Desormeaux, who won the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I) with Texas Red, will send out three 2yos to compete in the 2015 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I) and Juvenile Fillies (gr. I), including Saratoga Special Stakes (gr. II) winner Exaggerator.

On Saturday morning, Exaggerator breezed five furlongs in an easy 1:03 1/5 seconds, which marked his first timed workout since finishing second in the Breeders’ Futurity (gr. I) on October 3rd at Keeneland. According to Keeneland clockers, Exaggerator started off with three furlongs in :37 4/5 and galloped-out six furlongs in 1:16 4/5. According to the Keeneland Barn Notes for October 17th, assistant trainer Julie Clark clocked the son of Curlin in a slightly faster time.

“I had him in 1:02 and change but it was hard to see and we had three watches on him,” said Clark, who has worked for Desormeaux for three years and is overseeing his string at Keeneland. “I liked the work and thought he finished very strong.”

The Keeneland Barn Notes also noted that Keith Desormeaux will arrive at Keeneland on October 22nd, and he will be followed on October 25th by his colt Swipe, runner-up in the FrontRunner Stakes (gr. I) and Del Mar Futurity (gr. I) this summer. Swipe will join Exaggerator in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile, while Desormeaux’s filly Decked Out–a possible starter for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (gr. I)–will also arrive at Keeneland on October 25th.
