Ralis, Greenpointcrusader Post Keeneland Workouts

Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (gr. I) contenders Ralis and Greenpointcrusader were both in action at Keeneland this morning, turning in what will likely be their final workouts in advance of the Breeders’ Cup.

According to Keeneland clockers, Hopeful Stakes (gr. I) winner Ralis went five furlongs in 1:00 4/5, starting off with fractions of :12 2/5, :24 2/5, and :36 3/5 before galloping-out six furlongs in 1:14 4/5.


Champagne Stakes (gr. I) Greenpointcrusader went a half-mile in a rapid :46 1/5, posting fractions of :11 2/5 and :23 1/5 before galloping-out five furlongs in :59 1/5.


Two other Breeders’ Cup Juvenile contenders also turned in morning workouts at Keeneland. Breeders’ Futurity (gr. I) fourth-place finisher Sticksstatelydude went four furlongs in :47 1/5 with fractions of :11 4/5 and :23 4/5 and a gallop-out time of 1:00 1/5 for five furlongs. Cocked and Loaded, winner of the Iroquois Stakes (gr. III), breezed four furlongs in a modest :49 1/5, getting the first quarter-mile in :24 2/5 and galloping-out five furlongs in 1:02 3/5.
