The amazing mare Treve, who has won the last two renewals of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe (Fr-I) at Longchamp, will start from post position eight when she seeks a historic and unprecedented third victory in Europe’s most prestigious race.
The five-year-old daughter of Motivator has won four straight races dating back to last year’s Arc, including an easy six-length romp in the Prix Vermeille (Fr-I) at Longchamp on September 13th. She is favored to complete her sweep of three Arcs, a feat never before accomplished by any horse, but will face a deep and talented field that includes Investec Derby (Eng-i) winner Golden Horn and Prix du Jockey Club (Fr-I) winner New Bay, as well as 2014 Arc and Breeders’ Cup Turf (gr. I) runner-up Flintshire.
